Extreme Jet Blast on Maho Beach, St. Maarten, SXM: KLM 747 PH-BFB "City of Bangkok" departing to Amsterdam blowing some People away. What a majestic plane - full of grace. When it slowly taxis to its runway, and takes turn around the bend - looks so elegant and masterpiece especially with that color. Boeing 747 is legendary and that hump makes it stand out as the best designed airplane of all time.
They did this for years and years.  Was there right at this spot in '95.    Not sure if they still do, but they would literally post the departure and arrival times on a sign nearby so you could watch the landings (very impressive as they go soooo low) and the takeoffs.  Most all the jets produced a decent blast, but of course the real thrill was watching the 747 takeoff.  Unfortunately, the last 747 flight was in October of 2016, and you can't see one landing or taking off there anymore.  But it's still an amazing place to watch any plane land.
